Winter in Nisswa

This season is perfect for visitors to do winter camping or cozy up at one of our many area resorts! Take an afternoon to enjoy shopping – we offer a variety of shops around Nisswa. Then top it off with a nice warm meal at one of our area restaurants.

The snow provides many activities to suit everyone's taste: snowmobiling, skiing, sledding, winter hiking and more!

Ice fishing is great! Rent a house for a day or stay over night in one of our many local resorts or motels! January 26th brings the great Ice Fishing Extravaganza on Hole in the Day Bay of Gull Lake. A total of $150,000 will be awarded in cash and prizes!

February brings us the Nisswa Winter Jubilee – fun for the whole family! Activities include snow sculpture contest, wood splitting contest, games, winter parade, medallion hunt, ice fishing contest and much more!
